We are looking for a Specialist – Control Room (Concentrator site) to manage and optimize the Concentrator process. This includes verbal management of area personnel via radio and accountability for optimizing area resources to safely meet production targets from the central control room. The Specialist’s focus is to lead the safe, efficient, and sustainable production of copper.
- Reporting to the Superintendent, you will be:
- Driving zero harm behavior as a safety leader at the Concentrator while ensuring the quality and accuracy of Control Room Logs and Reports
- Effectively communicating and coordinating with peers from within the team, different departments, and different parts of the value stream to safely meet production and quality targets
- Identifying areas for improvement within the control systems and process to maximize efficiency
- Taking ownership over efficient/effective problem solving, decision making, and action at the right levels and for escalating when appropriate
- Responsibility for fielding calls to the emergency phone and directing resources to respond to incidents
- Closely monitoring control systems to optimize performance and ensuring the operating strategies are clearly communicated to the team for each shift
- A High school diploma or GED
- 3+ years of experience in mining, processing, manufacturing or a related field- Prior supervisory and control room experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
