We are looking for a Special Projects Field Supervisor (Superintendent) to join our Special Projects team around Knoxville, Tennessee. Your role will be to oversee, coach, motivate, and develop projects. Correct and teach team members when they make errors, relay company expectations, while promoting department goals. Working alongside other management and being a team player will be important in this role.
Your Role
•Plan and schedule work to optimize manpower to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
•Coordinate schedules with customers and account managers.
•Coordinate with other departments, subcontractors, and general contractors for scheduling work.
•Resolve customer, technician, and account manager concerns professionally and efficiently.
•Coordinate with Dispatch to ensure technicians have correct work orders.
•Review and verify submittals.
•Train and mentor Foremen.
•Monitor job sites to ensure projects are completed following all safety procedures. Report any concerns to your supervisor and the Safety Department.
•Conduct technician handoff meetings so all necessary details are provided to complete the project.
•Work with Warehouse Managers to schedule cranes, rental equipment, and deliveries.
•Assist with ordering equipment and materials.
•Conduct project and quality control reviews upon project completion.
•Complete disciplinary actions, both written and verbal, following company procedures. Include Special Projects Manager, General Manager, and HR.
Required Experience And Skills
•10+ years of experience as an HVAC Foreman or Supervisor.
•Strong mechanical aptitude with understanding of both Installation and Service.
•Willing to work on your tools with Install and Service Technicians as needed to provide support and training.
•Work 8+ hours per day, including overtime and weekends as needed on select projects.
•Excellent conflict resolution skills.
•Demonstrate conduct conforming to a set of values and accepted standards while projecting a positive attitude.
•Proficient with computer systems and software necessary for Field Supervision.
Additional Requirements
•Work in extremes of heat, cold and bad weather, indoors and outdoors.
•Perform work accurately and thoroughly, including under stressful situations and strict timeframes.
•Effective decision making and take actions quickly to resolve work issues.
•Stand and walk throughout the workday, and lift/carry up to 60 lbs.
•Work efficiently in confined spaces.
•Work reaching above shoulders, crawling, squatting, kneeling, bending.
•Exercise fine motor control, with good vision and excellent hand-eye coordination.
•Able to successfully complete a background check, MVR, and physical/drug testing.
