Seeking a highly motivated District Sales Manager to cover South-West United States. This position requires a candidate that can travel throughout the South-West territory to meet with current and/or potential customers. Must be knowledgeable of stainless and nickel products and their applications, including knowledge of the Specialty Steel Industry. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail is required.
Duties include but are not limited to traveling to conferences, conventions and trade shows to make contact with customers and develop relationships with new customers. Must be able to negotiate and close sales contracts, stay current on new products, updates and features. The chosen candidate will be responsible for identifying new customers, building and maintaining relationships with customers, following up on potential sales leads, able to develop marketing strategies to target new customers, follow industry trends to identify new opportunities for sales and generate sales product order.
Candidate should have experience in stainless & nickel manufacturing processes & distribution channels & must be proficient in Word, Excel & various software programs. The company offers an excellent benefits package including a 401(k), healthcare, and pension plan.
Note: The company headquarters is located Pennsylvania, but the employee will work out of his/her home which can be located in any area of the South-West United States.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in customer-facing roles. Knowledge of stainless and nickel products and their applications, including knowledge of the Specialty Steel Industry is preferred, but not mandatory.
Qualifications
- Strong negotiation and customer service skills
- Proven track record in sales, including outside sales and B2B sales
- Experience in sales management and account management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to analyze sales data
- Background in technology sales or Salesforce is a plus
