About This Job

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Sorter to join our team. The Sorter will be responsible for efficiently sorting and organizing materials in a waste management or recycling facility.

Responsibilities

•

Sort and segregate materials such as metals, paper, plastics, and other recyclables

•

Inspect materials for contamination and remove non-recyclable items

•

Operate equipment such as loaders, forklifts, or front loader trucks to move materials

•

Assist with the maintenance and sanitation of work areas

•

Perform heavy lifting tasks as required

Skills

•

Experience with garbage truck operations is a plus

•

Ability to fabricate and sanitate materials effectively

•

Proficiency in heavy lifting techniques

•

Knowledge of loader operation and heavy equipment handling

•

Familiarity with roll-off truck procedures is advantageous

•

Capability to dig and operate forklifts efficiently

•

Experience with front loader truck operations is beneficial

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $17.02 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
