What We Are Looking For
GVEC is looking to hire you for the position of Solar Sales Specialist to deliver the unexpected with a willingness to continuously develop yourself, your department and our organization. As a Solar Sales Specialist, you will be primarily responsible for educating residential and commercial customers on the benefits of GVEC’s turn-key solar solutions. Our Solar Sales Specialist will be charged with offering a full suite of Distributed Energy Resources (DER) to include the option of integrating battery storage solutions which will complement the customer’s solar system.
Your Pay
The compensation structure for this role is:
Minimum Starting Base Salary: $73,000/yr. - commensurate with your skills, qualifications and experience
Commission Opportunity: Up to $60,000/yr.
Total Compensation Range: $78,000 - $150,000/yr.
How You’ll Help
•Prospect, identify and cultivate new residential and commercial leads for solar and battery energy solutions
•Thoroughly assess prospects’ energy needs and present tailored solutions to meet those needs
•Represent GVEC professionally by presenting and explaining the benefits of solar and battery systems in person and addressing any questions or concerns potential customers have
•Respond to all leads promptly and maintain detailed customer notes on engagements using the Customer Relationship Management system
•Prepare and deliver persuasive sales proposals and quotes, ensuring accurate pricing and product information
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate the installation process and ensure customer satisfaction
•Stay up to date with industry trends, government and utility incentives and technology advancements
Experience/Skills You’ll Need
•Self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and an impeccable sense of integrity; able to work independently
•Proven experience in direct customer sales, preferably within the solar industry
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive rapport with prospects
•Strong negotiation and persuasion skills to close deals successfully
•Knowledge of solar energy systems, industry regulations and financing options
•Ability to effectively evaluate and manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
•Team player with the resolve to provide and take constructive criticism that helps evolve the team
•Flexible schedule that allows for some evening and weekend opportunities
