The Solar Sales Consultant will be responsible for working as a contributing member of the solar sales team focusing on generating new residential and small commercial business. This position is an hourly role that requires generating leads, conducting in-home consultations, survey sites, estimate project costs, and develop proposals.
- Collaborate with Sales Leadership on cultivating residential and small commercial leads
- Identify and drive sales plans for the target market and surrounding area
- Meet and exceed sales goals through prospecting, qualifying, managing and closing sales opportunities
- Spend 50%+ of your time in the field working with clients, estimating projects, and completing Final Walkthroughs- Estimate project costs and develop sales proposals
- Participate in regular sales meetings and required trainings
- Organize and manage sales pipeline; regular reporting of pipeline and provide accurate sales forecasts
- Survey prospective project sites, conduct in-home sales consultations, and guide clients through finance approval and contract signing

- 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license
- Criminal/civil background check, and motor vehicle records search will be required in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations

- Ability to communicate with peers, supervisor, and all other external individuals both effectively and respectfully
- Strong communication skills
- Minimum of 3 year in solar sales
- Advanced knowledge of solar sales, Materials, and Installation practices
- Capable of lifting items such as office supplies sometimes weighing over 25 lbs. as needed
- Capable of sitting and operating a computer and related equipment for extended periods of time
- Able to effectively communicate verbally and in written correspondence with team members and/or customers
- Able to read and understand various signage, instructions, and related paperwork
- Able to work outside in various weather conditions for extended periods of time
- Able to work in/on confined or uneven areas for extended periods of time
