Position: Utility-scale Solar Engineering Internship

We are seeking a part time intern to work within our technical operations and engineering team. Candidates that are available to work while in school (10-20 hours per week), or during the summer are encouraged to apply. You will be exposed to a wide array of solar technology and be given the chance to work with an industry leading team of technical experts.
Position Summary:
•Assist with both real-time and long-term monitoring the operation and performance of solar and/or storage projects through remote DAS and SCADA systems
•Assist with performance analytics and reporting
•Perform root cause analysis and performance improvement recommendations of underperforming systems
•Assist in developing procedures and tools necessary for the efficient operation of a diverse fleet of solar and storage facilities
•Assist in conducting service, troubleshooting and repair of solar photovoltaic facilities
•Work to develop software solutions that improve operational efficiencies and facility performance
•Additional duties as assigned
Skills we are looking for:
•Ability to learn quickly
•Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
•Proficiency with Python or automation tools a plus
•Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with minimum supervision
•Self-starter, energetic, and flexible personality with a bias towards action
•Possess strong analytical and research skills
•Skilled in interpersonal relationships with strong communication skills
•Interested in growing a career in the renewable energy industry
Internship Program Overview:
•Interns will work under the direction of the Director of Engineering and experienced Solar O&M Engineers
•Mixture of multiple departments within the company including time at solar sites
•Hourly-based, paid internship, approximately 10-30 hours per week

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
