Position Overview

We are seeking a Solar Electrical Technician who is a Certified Residential Wireman to join our team. This role is critical for handling electrical inspections, wiring, and permitting processes while ensuring systems meet NEC, state, and local codes. The right candidate will have strong solar or electrical experience, a solid understanding of residential wiring, and a proactive, safety-first attitude.

Responsibilities

- Perform electrical work on residential solar PV systems.

- Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with NEC, state, and local building codes.

- Assist with permitting processes and electrical documentation.

- Troubleshoot system performance issues and complete necessary repairs.

- Safely install, maintain, and test electrical components of solar systems.

- Collaborate with field crews, project managers, and local inspectors.

- Uphold OSHA and company safety standards at all times.

Qualifications

- Must hold a Certified Residential Wireman license in [state].

- Proven experience in residential electrical work (solar experience preferred).

- Knowledge of NEC requirements and local/state building codes.

- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and blueprints.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work at heights.

Schedule

- Full-time

- Monday to Friday (some weekends/overtime as needed)
