The PV Drafter has a key role in the solar project life cycle and is responsible for creating solar PV layouts in AutoCAD, and managing those designs throughout to assist with any possible revisions or change of scopes. Students with the ability to transfer to full time are encouraged to apply, and Titan is dedicated to developing qualified candidates into PV Designers.
Responsibilities:
•Create solar photovoltaic system layouts in AutoCAD.
•Progress towards the understanding of full project plan sets and PV system operation and industry knowledge.
•Communicate with structural engineers, electrical engineers and electricians to ensure drawings accurately represent system design requirements.
•Revise drawings as needed throughout the development and construction phases.
•Ensure system drawings meet NEC and local jurisdiction requirements
Requirements:
•Prior Drafting experience in AutoCAD required
•Minimum (2) semesters of AutoCAD training or (6) months of practical experience in a drafting position
•Ability to read measurements and plans
•Ability to communicate orally and in writing
•Knowledge of Electrical or Structural design (useful but not necessary)
•Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat
•Exceptional attention to detail & ability to work independently
•Excellent communication skills
•Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong work ethic
•Problem solving skills and the ability to multitask are key
•Alternate sitting or standing at will
•Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
