Geotherm has an opportunity for a Soils Lab Technician to join our team in Cypress, Texas. Our Soils Lab Technicians will learn to obtain and process samples for materials such as soils, concrete and aggregate. You will communicate with Laboratory Manager, and key stakeholders regarding testing results.
Essential Role and Responsibilities:
•
Under direction of senior technicians, lab manager or management, learns and assists with tasks, and obtain and process soils, aggregates and concrete.
•
Document and prepare sample testing and observation data using a laptop or desktop computer; submit findings accurately to a Lab Manager or the Management Team.
•
Effectively communicate testing and inspection results.
•
Will be placed in a progressively increased role of training and responsibility in work assignments.
•
Ensure that all testing equipment and tools are properly maintained.
•
Follows safety rules and practices and other safety requirements for all projects. Performs pre-task planning prior to executing work. Reports any safety issues or concerns to management.
•
Maintains quality standards on all projects.
Requirements:
•
High school diploma or equivalent
•
Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history
Preferred Requirements:
•
Related work experience in construction helpful, but not required
•
Current industry certifications for materials testing a plus, but not required
Position:
•
Monday to Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.
