Your Opportunity

This full-time role is about making an impact on people’s lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Social Impact Specialist in Lynchburg, VA (remote work will also be considered), you will be part of the proven team in the Corporate Business Unit. The Social Impact Specialist will support the company's communication and community engagement strategy by creating compelling social media content and coordinating local community relations initiatives and events. This role helps strengthen the company's reputation as a responsible corporate citizen, enhances brand visibility, and fosters positive relationships with key stakeholders. Your work will include:

Social Media Content Creation

- Develop, write, and publish engaging content for the company’s corporate social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc.).

- Monitor trends and conversations to recommend relevant and timely content.

- Assist in capturing photos, videos, and graphics to support storytelling.

- Track engagement metrics and provide insights to enhance reach and effectiveness.

- Collaborate closely with communications, marketing, and HR colleagues to ensure alignment across initiatives.

Community Relations & Events

- Support planning and execution of community engagement programs, charitable giving campaigns, and employee volunteer initiatives.

- Assist with logistics and coordination of community events, sponsorship activities, and company participation in local outreach efforts.

- Maintain calendars, track budgets, and prepare reports for community and social impact activities.

- Provide general support for the department’s day-to-day operations and other special projects.

Your Total Rewards Package

The range of base salary for the position is between $56,000 - $72,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
