Slickline Operator

Conduct slickline operations including gauge cutting, setting and retrieving plugs, shifting sleeves, fishing operations, and running bottom hole pressure and temperature gauges. Operate and maintain slickline equipment, including the slickline cable, reel unit, and pressure control equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

- Mechanically manipulating downhole tools from operator compartments in slickline trucks

- Understanding of slickline equipment, downhole tools, and well intervention techniques.

- Operating hydraulic pumps to spool the slickline back onto the reel drum.

- Ensure the integrity of slickline equipment and rigging of heavy equipment/routine repairs, maintenance and adjustments are carried out correctly.

- Complete all field tickets and forward to the appropriate processing office in a timely manner.

- The ability to trouble shoot down hole problems.

- Strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures.

- Confer with customers, supervisors, contractors, or other personnel

- Maintains excellent communication with customers to ensure satisfaction and long-term partnerships

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

- Requires a high school diploma.

- Minimum of two years of experience preferred

Final compensation within this range will be based on factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications and can be negotiated.
