Most Military Bases in Southern California: NBSD, NASNI, MCBCP, NBPL, etc.
Option of traveling in-state and out of state (Yuma, Arizona, 29 Palms, etc.)
Responsible for the overall Site Safety Management of the project.
Wide range of construction projects on military bases, NAVFAC, USACE, etc.
As SSHO, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
▫ Implement and ensure the project Health and Safety Plan is adhered to (Accident prevention Plan (APP))
▫ Coordinate with the other members of the project team to effectively execute the Safety Requirements of each project.
▫ Familiarize yourself with the Task Order(s) Scope of Work and requirements.
▫ Managing all vendors, suppliers, and subcontractor’s safety requirements (AHA’s, Lift Plans, Fall Protection, etc.) in a timely manner so it does not interfere with or delay the project.
▫ Prepare any documents or preliminary work needed for upcoming work on the project.
▫ Weekly progress meetings with the Construction Team.
▫ Assist with progress and safety reporting requirements.
▫ Work directly with the Clients to support needs as they may have or arise during the project.
This position is responsible for the overall safety supervision of All Aspects of Construction, Operations Management, Materials, Subcontractors, and Personnel on the Project.

Required Certifications: (All certifications must be current)
Additional: 24-Hour Fall Protection, 40-Hour HAZWOPER, Competent Person Certifications: Excavation and Trenching, Scaffolding, Electrical Safety, etc.
A minimum of 5 years’ concurrent safety in construction.
▫ Experience as a Site Safety and Health Officer on NAVFAC or USACE managed projects
▫ Basic Computer Skills – MS Word, MS Excel, MS OneDrive, Adobe PDF
▫ Experience Conducting Safety Meetings and Writing Daily Reports
▫ Experience organizing, managing and filing Safety documentation
▫ Experience managing deficiencies and correcting them in the field

▫ $40-$55 per hour | Pay range is based off experience
▫ Possible Per Diem projects available, per diem will be in addition to base pay (Food & Lodging)
