Job Summary
The Site Project Manager will be responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and overall management of a MCB Mining Project sites, ensuring that all activities are conducted safely, on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with the approved permits conditions and the local and national regulations. The role requires strategic leadership, technical expertise, stakeholder engagement, and operational oversight to drive the projects from development to production while maintaining Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) best practices.
Specifically, he/she shall be responsible for the following:
•Ensure that the approved Work Programs are implemented in line with the Company’s business strategy and regulatory requirements. Oversee site investigations to support the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), early works, and construction, while managing timelines, milestones, and deliverables to maintain project schedules. Coordinate with technical teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders for seamless execution and integrate risk management strategies across all activities.
•Ensure adherence to DENR, MGB, NCIP, and other regulatory requirements, managing the timely submission of mandatory reports, and implementation of approved Work Programs including but not limited to the Three-Year Development/Utilization Work Program (3YDUWP). [PD1] Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to align project activities with government policies and industry standards.
•Foster strong relationships with government agencies, LGUs, indigenous communities, and key stakeholders. Manage field consultations, planning, and implementing projects/activities/programs ensuring compliance with the Free, Prior, and Informed Consent - Memorandum of Agreement (FPIC-MOA) and Social Development and Management Programs (SDMP) to enhance community engagement and support.
•Ensure compliance with ESH standards in parallel with implementation of approved Environmental Protection and Enhancement Program (EPEP) and Safety and Health Program (SHP) across all project activities, promoting a safety-first culture through best practices, training, and safety audits. Integrate environmental sustainability measures, including ESG principles into project execution.
•Lead and mentor project teams, engineers, and site personnel, fostering excellence and accountability. Oversee contractor selection, negotiation, and performance to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency. Optimize resource allocation and workforce management to meet project requirements.
•Provide overall support to the Chief Operations Officer in the management for project development ensuring efficient use of resources across different projects/assets and seamless interfacing between various project components to attain overall long-term business objectives, developing strategies as part of the broader Project development pathway to be defined in conjunction with the MMCI Management Team and Board.
Requirements:
•Strong understanding of Philippine mining laws, permitting processes, and environmental regulations.
•Experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams, contractors, and consultants.
•Proven leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
•Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to convey complex issues clearly and deliver effective presentations
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
•Demonstrate strong organizational, planning and budget management skills
•Ability to organize workload, adapt quickly to change, and perform effectively under pressure
•High ethical standards and strong core values
•Awareness and sensitivity to multi-cultural awareness
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology, Legal or a related technical field; preferably with a post graduate degree.
•Minimum of fifteen (15) years’ of experience in a mining environment with a proven track record of achieving operational and corporate objectives.
•Proven experience in community and government relations
•Business and management experience are required
