· Prepare daily tailgate meetings with onsite supervisor input on daily work outline.
· Assess the crews’ readiness at the onset of each shift.
· Compile daily report with information such as 1. Number of personnel on site including number of subcontractors and their personnel.
· Ensure crews execute their work within the parameters of the KMA Safety Management System.
· Create and execute workplace safety programs, emergency response plans, construction safety policies, and job-site hazard analyses.
· Prepares reports and presents to the Senior Leadership Team on health and safety.
· Collaborate with project managers and construction managers to be sure all potential risk management and safety issues are addressed.
· Implement construction health and safety training programs, including new hire safety orientation.
· Perform construction site risk assessments, safety audits, and safety meetings.
· Monitor adherence to OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) safety regulations and safety standards on sites.
· Investigate job-site safety reports and lead incident and injury evaluations.
· Ensure personal protective equipment is available and used correctly.
· Issue safety reprimands and corrective action recommendations when safety concerns are present.
· The ability to be sensitive towards people’s health situations.
· The ability to work as part of a team.
· Excellent communication skills, including the ability to work with senior colleagues and the ability to explain complex information to non experts.
· Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to work with people at all levels of an organization.
