Job Opening: Mine Site Technician - Class 1 (LNG Equipment & Transport Support)

We’re looking for a go-to professional who’s not just experienced behind the wheel, but also hands-on with equipment installation, maintenance, and customer support. This remote role is perfect for someone mechanically inclined, self-driven, and committed to safety, collaboration, and high standards.

About the Role:Reporting to the Field Services Manager, the Site Technician handles transportation and offloading of LNG loads, while supporting daily operations such as equipment transfers and maintenance at customer sites. This is a rotational Fly-in/Fly-out (FIFO) position with a 15 days on / 13 days off schedule. Meals and lodging are provided while on site.Candidates must reside in one of the following locations: Prince George, BC| Nanaimo, BC |Kelowna, BC| Whitehorse, YT| Edmonton, AB

Requirements & Qualifications:

o What You’ll Need:

o Valid Class 1 Driver’s License (Canada)

o Safety mindset

o TDG Certification (Transportation of Dangerous Goods)

o Strong understanding of commercial transport regulations

o Excellent verbal and written communication skills

o Proficiency with Microsoft Office

o Experience in 24/7 operations (transport industry preferred)

o Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving mindset

o Willingness to learn and adapt

o What You’ll Do

o Drive & Deliver: Operate Class 1 vehicles and safely transport LNG equipment to site

o Site Support: Install, maintain, repair, and commission LNG systems at customer locations

o Follow Standards: Uphold Cryopeak SOPs, TDG guidelines, and all safety regulations

o Coordinate: Work closely with the Transport & Logistics Team to ensure smooth delivery and communication

o Maintain Equipment: Keep systems up to code and in top working order

o Train & Troubleshoot: Educate 3rd-party operators and assist with technical issues

o Track Performance: Monitor service KPIs and help drive continuous improvement

o Travel Ready: Work rotational site schedules with extended stays (meals and lodging provided)

o Stay Certified: Maintain all necessary qualifications and training
