Full Job Description: Start each day by setting up and directing crews, ensuring they have the layout, materials, equipment, and information needed to begin work efficiently. Act as the point person on-site for quick decision-making, troubleshooting, and adapting to changing site conditions. Visit upcoming job sites 2–3 days before work is scheduled; verify site readiness, material availability, identify any conflicts or missing components, and report issues to the project team. Communicate with foremen, subcontractors, and suppliers to keep operations moving smoothly. Check in periodically throughout the day on multiple job sites to track progress and provide support where needed. Wrap up each day by reviewing job status, confirming next-day needs, and updating project managers as necessary.
· Travel to multiple job sites to coordinate and set up daily work for civil crews (concrete, paving, drainage, water, Sewer, equipment operators).
· Conduct pre-site inspections days ahead of scheduled work to assess readiness and identify any conflicts or obstacles.
· Deliver concise, clear direction to crews and troubleshoot issues as they arise throughout the day.
· Communicate and coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to ensure the scope of work is aligned and deadlines are met.
· Attend project meetings and speak confidently on behalf of the crew regarding scheduling, site conditions, and resource needs.
· Monitor site safety and enforce compliance with company and regulatory standards.
· 5+ years of experience in civil construction with foreman or leadership responsibilities.
· Strong understanding of site preparation, concrete, paving, drainage, waterline, and Sewer installation.
· Ability to read and interpret civil plans, specifications, and schedules.
· Capable of identifying issues before they impact schedules and proposing effective solutions.
