Position Summary: The Shop/Yard Helper will report directly to the Fleet Manager and provide daily support for the Maintenance and Mechanic teams by performing a variety of duties to support efficient and safe operations of the yard.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Load and/or unload parts, equipment, and deliveries.

- Operate forklift and front-end loader safely and efficiently to move materials and equipment.

- Assist in helping to keep yard organized, inventoried and in safe working order.

- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly shop and yard area.

- Sweep, power wash, empty trash, and similar housekeeping duties.

- Perform general shop duties.

- Assist with shipping and receiving.

- Assist mechanics with vehicle maintenance.

- Perform other duties as assigned by the company.

Education and Professional Licensing or Certifications

- Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

- Required: Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record for at least three years.

- Required: Forklift certification.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- One year of experience working in a mechanic shop environment.

- Mechanical aptitude.

- Ability to safely operate automobiles, forklifts, front-end loaders, and other shop equipment.

- Must be safety conscious and practice safe work behaviors.

- Must be able to communicate clearly and follow directions given by leadership.

- Basic knowledge of the oil and gas industry.

Physical Requirements

- This is a physically demanding position which requires frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, lifting, carrying, climbing, reaching, pushing, pulling, and handling and grasping tools, parts, and a wide variety of other items.

- Tolerance of varying environmental conditions, such as heat, cold, wet, noise, vibration, etc.

- Able to use a wide variety of mechanic tools and shop equipment.

- Able to lift 55 pounds unassisted

- Frequent speaking and listening communications with multiple parties.
