Brief Description
The Shop/Service Technician is responsible to provide support our Service Technicians and Management Team. We are looking for a candidate who is self-motivated, ability to work independently in the shop area, pay attention to detail and ability to follow direction.
Job Duties
•Maintain a clean and organized work area.
•Assist Service Technicians and Management Team in all aspect of production/inventory (filling containers of treatment materials, moving, cleaning parts, repairs and rebuild, inventory counts, ordering parts).
•Pick up parts needed for shop and other special jobs
•Work on building maintenance if needed
•Keep track of vehicles maintenance, repairs, etc.
•Fill in field service route stop when needed (including equipment maintenance, pump jobs, water sample collections, etc.)
•Other tasks that may be asked to perform (assisting Plumber at customer sites, clear snow off DiHydro’s vehicles using the appropriate tools, clear snow/ice from entrance area, pick up phone calls, etc.)
•You must report to Management Team of your daily completed work during the first 90 days – probation period.
Requirements
•Strong analytical ability; creative problem solver; detail and solution oriented
•Good oral and written communication skills
•Excellent attention to detail
•Positive attitude and ability to adapted to changing environment
•Must be able to lift, push, pull, and bend (up to 40-60 lb.)
•Valid and good driving license. Must pass drug test, DOT Medical exam and have a clear background check (being able to work within government buildings if needed)
•Experience with Forklift (will train)
