About This Job
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented ASME Shop Floor Quality Control Inspector to join our manufacturing team. This role is critical in ensuring our products and processes consistently meet or exceed ASME code standards and customer expectations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in inspection of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping and other components within an ASME-certified environment.
Responsibilities:
•
Conduct in-process and final inspections of fabricated components and assemblies per ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 and Section IX and applicable standards.
•
Verify weld procedures, welder qualifications, and NDE documentation.
•
Perform visual inspections, dimensional checks, and documentation reviews.
•
Ensure all required quality records and reports are completed accurately and timely.
•
Collaborate with shop personnel to identify and resolve non-conformances.
•
Maintain calibration records for inspection equipment.
•
Support internal and external audits, including customer and regulatory inspections.
Requirements:
•
Minimum 1 year of experience in ASME shop inspection or related field.
•
Knowledge in fabrication processes (pressure vessel, heat exchangers & piping).
•
Knowledge in interpreting fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and ASME codes.
•
Knowledge with inspection techniques including VT, PT, MT, and UT.
•
Knowledge in acceptable & rejectable fit-up & weldments.
•
Knowledge in dimension inspection.
•
Knowledge in hydrotest/pneumatic leak testing.
•
Knowledge in identifying materials.
•
Knowledge in MS Excel or MS Word.
•
Knowledge in Visual Testing.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
