Position Summary:
We are seeking a Shop & Field Services Manager with a strong background in Level II NDT, Ultrasonic Testing (UT), torque wrenching, and pressure testing. This leadership role will oversee daily shop and field operations, ensuring quality control, technician development, and timely project execution. The ideal candidate will balance hands-on technical expertise with team leadership and operational oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
•Lead and supervise a team of NDT technicians, shop hands, and field staff
•Perform and oversee UT thickness inspections on flow lines and high-pressure oilfield equipment
•Manage torque and pressure testing operations and validate results for accuracy and compliance
•Coordinate teardown, inspection, and rebuild projects for skids, valves, and iron assemblies
•Ensure safety procedures, customer specifications, and company policies are followed in all work areas
•Maintain inventory of tools and equipment; oversee maintenance, calibration, and operational readiness
•Serve as the primary point of contact for job scheduling, customer communication, and quality assurance
•Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and telehandlers (tele lifts); train others on proper use
•Support rig-up/rig-down operations in the field when needed
•Mentor and develop staff, ensuring continuous improvement and training across roles
Required Qualifications:
•Level II UT Certification (ASNT, SNT-TC-1A or equivalent) – Required
•3+ years of experience in NDT with torque and pressure testing, plus at least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience
•Mechanical aptitude and ability to lead by example in a hands-on environment
•Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
•Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in physically demanding conditions
•Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
•Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug and background screenings
Preferred Skills:
•Experience with additional NDT methods (MT, PT, MFL, etc.)
•Familiarity with API, ASME, ASTM standards
•Proficiency with digital reporting tools and/or field service software
•Previous experience managing field service logistics or shop operations
