Position Summary:
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible to accurately receive and store incoming material, manage external fabrications, maintain inventory control, pack and ship orders in a timely and accurate way.
Primary Functions:
•Receive incoming material by verifying the paperwork to the purchase order; the product to the purchase order; and the part to a print if applicable.
•Log receipt of the material and dimensional details into the ERP.
•Store product in the proper place, with part and quantity defined for each location.
•Pack and label items into appropriate packaging per customer requirements and company standards
•Use online portal to quote and schedule LTL freight
•Set up shipments with carrier systems such as FedEx and UPS
•Maintain shipping supplies at target levels
•Manage external fabrications by processing paperwork, pulling and verifying parts, and scheduling pickups as needed; and receiving completed fabrications per standard receiving process.
•Conduct cycle counts daily and enter variances in the ERP, seeking manager approval when required.
•Maintain good housekeeping standards and comply with applicable regulatory requirements.
Primary Competencies:
•Ability to accurately enter data in a computer system
•Ability to accurately read and compare paperwork such as shipping forms and purchase orders
•Prior experience with shipping including LTL, FedEx and UPS
•Ability to self-motivate and fulfill obligations
•Competent (or ability to quickly become competent) in use of computer programs such as MS Office products and an ERP
•Ability to become forklift certified

Qualifications:
•High school diploma or equivalent
•3+ years of relevant experience such as receiving, shipping, and/or working in a manufacturing or distribution environment
•Must be able to perform the physical demands of the job such as:
o Safely navigating a manufacturing environment
o Extended periods of standing, walking, and frequent bending and stooping
o Using tools and equipment, including computers
o Lifting up to 50 lbs. at times, and up to 25 lbs. frequently
o Safely driving a forklift
