Primary Responsibilities
Job Summary:
The Shipping and Warehouse Fulfillment Specialist plays a key role in ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient order fulfillment and inventory management. This position is responsible for picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and maintaining warehouse organization. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment to meet customer satisfaction and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
•Order Fulfillment: Accurately pick and pack customer orders for shipment using proper materials and methods.
•Shipping Coordination: Prepare shipping labels, schedule pickups, and work with carriers (UPS, FedEx, USPS, etc.) to ensure timely delivery and pickups during our regular business hours.
•Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate stock levels, assist with inventory counts, and report discrepancies.
•Warehouse Organization: Ensure warehouse is clean, safe, and organized; follow proper storage methods and maintain clear labeling.
•Documentation: Keep accurate records of shipping and receiving activities; update inventory software or databases as required.
•Equipment Use: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as needed.
•Team Collaboration: Communicate with customer service, purchasing, and management teams to resolve order or inventory issues and assist with pulling orders, building orders in downtime from shipping.
•Shipping Supply Logistics: Ensuring we have enough tape, bubble wrap, and other shipping materials as needed to report to purchasing.
Requirements:
•High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
•1+ year experience in warehouse, shipping/receiving, or fulfillment preferred
•Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly
•Familiarity with shipping software and inventory systems (e.g., UPS, USPS, FedEx, or similar)
•Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
•Basic math and computer skills
•Forklift experience required
Working Conditions:
•Warehouse environment with potential exposure to varying temperatures
•Standing, walking, lifting, and bending throughout the shift
•May involve overtime or weekend shifts during peak periods
