Job Position: Shipping
Reports To: Shipping Supervisor
Authority: All employees have the authority to stop operations/production for the following three reasons: 1) a quality defect, 2) an unsafe act, or 3) a health hazard.
Job Competencies/Duties (include, but are not limited to):
Competencies:
•Equivalent work-related experience
•Have a minimum of 2 years prior experience with knowledge of both international and complex medical shipments
•Be able to lift at least 40 lbs.
•Excellent attention to detail
•Written and verbal communication skills
•Above average computer skills in Word
•Working Knowledge of Excel and Windows.
•Understanding of Inventory Control
•Excellent time management and organizational skills
•Good Problem-Solving skills
•Ability to adapt as workloads demands
Job Duties:
•Report for work, clock in at scheduled time
•Follow the shipping notes from the ERP system, verifying that all requirements are followed and completed. Where applicable, DPS’s or QEWIs may be required for fulfilling additional requirements on customer specific shipments.
•Complete the daily shipments on time, managing pickup times between freight and parcel carriers and ensuring that all inventory items are shipped.
•Where instructed, create photographic history files of shipments to provide future proof of packaging method and condition.
•Coordinate with customer service and production supervisor concerning scheduled shipments
•Pull product, adjust inventory and stage finished goods for shipping to customer, ensuring all documents required are present and filled out correctly.
•Operate forklift when necessary.
•Maintain the warehouse and shipping areas in a clean, organized and safe working condition.
•Assist with inventory reconciliation of raw and finished goods.
•Ensure bill of lading, packing slip and all other shipping/receiving documentation are reviewed for accuracy, submit a copy of all documentation to Customer Service for filing.
•Must be able to adapt to new conditions, instructions, or challenges presented by the customer/ management.
•Responsible for ensuring FIFO (First In – First Out)
•Other duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager.
•Maintain the highest quality work to continuously ensure customer satisfaction
