The Shipper/Receiver performs duties including unloading trucks, unpacking and verifying items, handling customer pick-ups, maintaining inventories, and keeping storage areas clean and organized.
- Work safely following all policies and practies
- Packages outgoing orders in a manner that insures safe transportation
- Perform material handling of raw materials and finsihed goods between various production and shipping areas
- Verifies that orders have been picked correctly before shipment
- Labels shipments for transportation and provides all required documentation
- Able to use ERP system (Oracle) to transfer materials between locations and produce packing lists on the computer
- Operates parcel manifest system, complying with routing instructions on pick ticket
- Handles outgoing materials. This task includes carrying, stacking, lifting and loading cartons
- Loads & unloads trailers using forklifts and pallet jacks. Restocks picking locations as instructed
- Cleans shipping, receiving and warehouse area including sweeping, mopping & dusting
- Assists in physical and cycle count inventory process to insure accuracy
- Correctly inspects, identifies & receives incoming material (raw & packaging)
- Contacts freight companies verification of product pick-up
- Quarantine incoming materials for inspection
- Use ERP system (Oracle) to enter received materials
- Maintain shipping/receiving log
- Understand and perform to all quality regulations, standards and policies, including but not limited to ISO 9001:2015 and AAR M-1003. Follow work procedures and ensure highest level of qualit.
- Participates in team meetings as required (safety, problem solving, etc.)

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- MInimum two years prior experience in performing shipping/receiving tasks described in primary responsibilties
- Ability to work independently with limited supervison
- Ability to read and comprehend simple company procedures, instructions and short correspondence
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts involving the use of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractional relationships to a decimal level
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral and/or diagram format. Ability to deal with problem solving with two variables
- Able to complete necessary training to become certified to operate powered industrial trucks such as forklifts, manlifts and other devices
- Experience/knowledge with computer use. Good keyboard/data entry ability. Experience with Microsoft 365 suite of products
- Fully capable of handling any material needs, solving material problems and inventory control issues as they arise
- Ability to read Bills of Materials (BOMs) and correlate BOMs to prints.
- While performing the duties of this job, the team member is continuously standing and moving throughout the work day.
- The team member may be frequently required to walk, bend, squat, or twist as well as repetitively push or pull frequently up to 20 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds
- This position is performed in a shop environment. Team members in this position may be exposed to loud operating machinery, cold temperatures, hot temperatures, chemicals and vapors. The team member may occasionally be required to work in an office environment
- The Assembler will use various equipment such as pallet jacks, stretch wrappers, box staplers, tape dispensers and similiar that would be typical in a shipping/receiving operation.
