Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Metal Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal fabrication and machining, with the ability to work with various tools and equipment. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship. The Metal Worker will be responsible for producing high-quality metal components that meet specifications and standards.

Responsibilities

•

Operate welding equipment to join metal parts using various welding techniques.

•

Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to ensure accurate dimensions.

•

Employ hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and finishing metal components.

•

Conduct electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes as needed for intricate designs.

•

Set up and operate press brake machines for bending metal sheets according to specifications.

•

Interpret technical drawings and blueprints, applying GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.

•

Maintain tooling and equipment in good working condition, performing routine maintenance as required.

•

Collaborate with team members to ensure production goals are met while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

•

Proven experience in metalworking or a related field is preferred.

•

Proficient in welding techniques and the use of various hand tools.

•

Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.

•

Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and basic math skills for calculations related to measurements and tolerances.

•

Experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM) is a plus but not required.

•

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, including GD&T specifications.

•

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

•

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
