Sheet Metal Worker - Field Worker

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Metal Worker to join our team, responsible for fabricating and assembling metal parts, components, or structures according to specifications, blueprints, or designs. This role requires a strong understanding of metalworking techniques and the ability to operate a variety of metalworking machines. The ideal candidate will possess excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently.

Duties:

- Operate a range of metalworking machines to fabricate and assemble metal parts, components, or structures.

- Use precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, to ensure the accuracy and quality of the work.

- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and other technical documents to understand specifications and requirements.

- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport and store materials.

- Perform general maintenance tasks to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and proper functioning of the workshop.

- Work effectively in a team environment to meet production deadlines and maintain quality standards.

- Develop and implement new manufacturing techniques and processes to improve efficiency and productivity.

Experience:

- Previous experience as a Metal Worker or in a related field, with a strong understanding of metalworking techniques and operations.

- Experience with operating a crane or other overhead lifting equipment.

- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and interpretation.

- Experience with operating precision measuring instruments, including micrometers.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.

- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy materials and equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
