Sewer Line Technician/Sewer Line Excavator

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Sewer Line Technician / Sewer Line Excavator to join our team. This position involves diagnosing, repairing, and replacing residential and commercial sewer lines using both traditional excavation and trenchless sewer repair methods. The ideal candidate has experience operating excavation equipment, reading utility layouts, and working safely in underground environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Sewer Line Installation & Repair:

- Excavate and expose sewer lines safely using backhoes, mini excavators, and hand tools.

- Perform traditional dig-and-replace sewer line installations.

- Conduct trenchless sewer repair and replacement, including pipe bursting, pipe lining (CIPP), and directional boring.

- Inspect sewer lines using video camera inspection equipment to identify blockages, breaks, or root intrusion.

- Measure, cut, and install piping according to specifications and local codes.

Trenchless Sewer Work:

- Set up and operate trenchless repair systems (pipe bursting, lining, or pulling equipment).

- Prepare and rehabilitate existing pipelines with cured-in-place liners or similar technologies.

- Mix, handle, and cure epoxy resins or similar materials for trenchless installations.

- Maintain and repair trenchless equipment to ensure peak performance.

Site & Safety Responsibilities

- Follow OSHA and company safety procedures at all times.

- Identify and mark underground utilities before excavation.

- Restore job sites to original condition after completion (grading, backfilling, seeding, etc.).

- Operate and maintain heavy machinery and hand tools responsibly.
