General Summary
This position requires hands-on experience and a strong understanding of PCI Energy Solutions. Uses data analytics to create actionable data from information used in the operation of Rayburn Country Electric Cooperative, Inc. (Rayburn). Works closely with executive management and operations.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities / Knowledge
•Utilizes PCI Energy Solutions software to process, analyze, and generate billing statements.
•Ensures accuracy and efficiency in all PCI-based workflows.
•Interacts with ERCOT/SPP and ACES to verify settlement statements.
•Verifies power supply invoices.
•Ensures invoices are properly sorted, coded, verified for appropriate charges, approved and sent to accounts payable in a timely manner.
•Maintains familiarity with the Rayburn Tariff and prepares monthly invoices for Rayburn’s four (4) Member cooperatives accordingly.
•Communicates and consults with Rayburn and Member cooperative personnel as needed to ensure meter readings and reporting are received in a timely manner.
•Tracks accuracy of all power supply requirements to ensure invoices and payments are correctly recorded.
•Supports in creating SQL databases and structures from the ground up and performs development on existing frameworks.
•Establishes data analytics processes, roles, quality criteria, and performance metrics.
•Supports existing and creates new analytical models to assist the billing department.
•Works closely with the Operations, IT, Settlements, Power Supply and other applicable departments to implement data analytics and process improvements.
•Manages analytics projects from start to finish (data integration, analysis, reporting).
•Manages the technical design, development, and delivery of new data analytics tools and solutions.
•Develops data analytics solutions to meet business requirements.
•Coordinates with business stakeholders and all major information technology functions regarding projects requiring data analytics.
•Carries out statistical research, prototypes new solutions, and finds new ways of gathering, cleaning, securing, and analyzing data.
•Ensures that the organization’s data analytics strategy aligns with its wider objectives.
•Maintains technical responsibility for the development stages, modification, and testing iterations of a data analytics project.
•Responsible for overall data governance, preparing, warehousing, reporting, and advanced delivery (via portals and mobile).
•Identifies trends and patterns in complex datasets.
•Supports the creation of dashboards, including graphs, tables, and other required visualizations.
•Participates in risk assessments to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
•Validates system designs of others to ensure appropriate technology, efficient resource usage, and correct integration.
•Promotes best-practice methodology in quality assurance within the team.
•Coaches and guides others in the most appropriate or latest working methods and practices.
Key Accountabilities
•Complies with all policies, procedures, and confidentiality agreements effective as a result of employment with Rayburn.
•Shares information with Rayburn management and staff, contractors, and other third parties in a timely manner, as required.
•Provides supervisor with updates and/or reports on work and tasks as requested or required.
•Supervise/escort all contractors aboard Rayburn campus.
•Performs any other duties as assigned by supervisor or executive management.
Education
Job Specifications / Skills Required
Bachelor’s or higher in computer related degree is preferred
Experience
2+ years of experience in data analytics or equivalent experience is preferred
Skills•Proven experience using PCI Energy Solutions software for billing, settlements, or energy accounting is required
•Proficient in Microsoft Office
•Proficient in with various software programs
•Able to work effectively in a team environment; willing to assist others.
•Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail

•Evidence of an aptitude for critical thinking
•Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
Physical Demands
•Ability to sit for extended periods of time at a computer workstation.
•Ability to perform repetitive motions in order to use a computer keyboard, test equipment and operate hand tools.
•The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; open file cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
