Position Overview

As a Service Tech, you will oversee and execute electrical projects from start to finish, manage a small team, and play the primary role in all client interactions, including project sales and management. This role combines hands-on electrical work with project leadership and customer relations.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage residential and commercial electrical projects ensuring safety, quality, and timely completion.

- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, lighting, panels, and circuits.

- Work directly with customers to provide electrical service estimates and explain project details.

- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to coordinate workflow and ensure project success.

- Maintain compliance with California and NEC electrical code and safety standards.

Qualifications

- 4+ years of experience working as an electrician.

- Strong background in residential and commercial electrical installations.

- Proven experience managing and completing electrical projects independently.

- Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills.

- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

- Must pass a standard background check.

Must have

- Experience working directly with customers

- Thorough understanding of complex troubleshooting

- Aptitude to show up on time, personal hygiene, and politeness.

- Your own work vehicle and all necessary tools

- A good attitude

The hourly rate is typically between $25-$45/h but with commission from the jobs it typically adds up to anywhere between $50-$200/h.

If you have worked commission-based jobs before, you’re familiar and comfortable with this and are aware that the money can be lucrative. If you haven’t worked with commission in the past then I’d love to share my experience with you personally, along with showing you our typical commission payouts in addition to the regular hourly pay.

I also give the option to choose a lower hourly rate and much higher commission percentage if you’re confident in your customer service abilities. I’m extremely flexible with time-off policies and treat everyone with utmost respect.
