SCOPE:
This position is accountable for the safe, compliant, efficient, and customer-friendly operations of the service department. Additionally, this position is expected to spend the majority of their time in the field assisting with work orders and servicing Christensen’s and our customer’s, fuel and lubricant equipment. The Service Technician will ensure Christensen Repairs are completed in a timely manner and be able to work with vendors to assist in completing this work. This position will report to the Service Manager and spread their time across multiple divisions of Christensen, as needed.
SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITIES & DELIVERABLES
•Assist with various equipment installation and maintenance projects for the region and perform a wide range of tasks at customer and company locations.
•Assembling, delivering, servicing lube and fuel pumps and tanks.
•Repair remote fuel and lube monitors via web portal and phone calls
•Support our operations at the Portland Distribution plant
•Support retail fuels by installing and repairing PDS monitors for retail.
•Perform general maintenance in the Portland office and other areas as needed.
•Perform Portland Cardlock Fuel Island maintenance and repairs on a weekly basis.
•Ensure that company safety, policy and regulatory standards are met at all times.
•Perform all daily functions in a safe manner by following Christensen Policies and Procedures.
•Maintain excellent customer relations by providing courteous professional and timely service.
•Order equipment, parts and fittings as needed for all repairs and installations as needed.

•Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to balance production and maintenance needs.
•A strong ability to be adaptable and flexible.
•Computer skills including the ability to prepare spreadsheets and use Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Power Point and/or Access) to analyze data and trends.
•Broad understanding of safety systems and enforcement of safety rules and policies.
•Excellent interpersonal communication and listening ability.
•Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
•High School diploma required, additional schooling or certifications preferred.
•Ability to tow trailers and operate a crane
•Clean driving record required.
•Highly motivated, results oriented and driven.
•Ability to operate various vehicles and machinery.
•A self-starter and ability to stay motivated without direct management oversight.

PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS

•Regular exposure to the elements (heat, cold, rain, snow), fumes, dust and odors.

•PPE requirements include steel toes boots, hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest, gloves, ear protection and cold protection.
