Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Roofing Service Technician to join our team. The technician will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential and/or commercial roofing systems. This role requires hands-on experience with various roofing materials and systems, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work at heights in various weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Perform inspections to assess the condition of roofing systems and identify necessary repairs.
•
Diagnose issues such as leaks, storm damage, and structural weaknesses.
•
Repair and replace roofing components including shingles, flashing, underlayment, tiles, membranes, and fasteners.
•
Perform preventive maintenance on roofing systems.
•
Safely operate tools and equipment, including ladders, harnesses, nail guns, and hand tools.
•
Maintain job site cleanliness and ensure materials are properly stored and disposed of.
•
Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair findings, needed services, and maintenance tips.
•
Document work performed, including before/after photos and service reports.
•
Follow company safety policies and OSHA guidelines at all times.
•
Assist with roof installations as needed.
Requirements:
•
High school diploma or GED required.
•
Minimum 2 years of roofing experience; service/repair work preferred.
•
Knowledge of various roofing systems (asphalt shingles, metal, tile, TPO, EPDM, etc.).
•
Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in physically demanding conditions.
•
Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
•
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
•
OSHA 10/30 certification (preferred).
•
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Work Environment:
•
Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
•
Work at heights using safety equipment.
•
Travel to multiple job sites as required.
