Job Summary
This position performs work in the assembly, maintenance, testing and inspection of manual and/or hydraulic valves utilized in Oil and Gas fracturing operations. Successful candidates usually hold 1 to 2 years of relevant experience.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities•Assembles and repairs manual/hydraulic valves at a district facility.
•Inspects valve units returning from customer sites for wear, defects and replaces components as necessary.
•Calibrates valve units through pressure-testing equipment and pumps to ensure equipment reliability and structural integrity.
•Responsible for equipment lubrication requirements that meet manufacturer's specifications before valves are deployed into production environments.
•Executes rigging-up/rigging-down, loading and unloading activities.
•Performs all aspects of work in compliance with applicable HSE regulations and company policy.
•Performs up-keep duties such as cleaning assigned work area, picking up tools, sweeping floors, emptying trash cans and other housekeeping chores.
•Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
•Ability to read pressure testing charts.
•Knowledge of lubricants: classes, measurements, operating temperatures.
•Ability to operate greasing units.
•Skilled in the use of overhead crane equipment.
•Skilled in the use of forklift equipment.
•Familiar with multi-vendor valve equipment.
•Proficient and knowledgeable in the basic hand tools.
•Ability to follow orders or instructions well.
•Desire and willingness to work and learn new skills.
•Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.
Education Requirements
•High School Diploma/GED and/or 1-3 years work-related experience.
