In order to increase the capacity of our Customer Service Department, LongBar Grinding Inc is seeking to employ additional Customer Service staff. The Customer Service Clerk will be trained in-house on LongBar’s enterprise requirement software system.
This position is based in Santa Fe Springs, Los Angeles County, California.
The Customer Service Clerk:
•Is responsible for managing incoming calls from customers.
•Will coordinate with staff in communicating job status with customers.
•Verifies and keeps computerized records on incoming and outgoing customer communications.
•Coordinates with vendors to confirm incoming & outgoing documentation for accuracy and completeness.
•Verifies and coordinates outgoing shipments with customers.
•Coordinates with internal staff in preparing documents for shipment.
•Responsible for filing and record retention policies.
•Operates within the Company's Quality Management System - ISO9000 / AS9100.
•Examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with vendor or shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
•Examines and confirms outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet requirements.
Qualification:
•Must have minimum three years previous customer service experience.
•Must have office manager experience.
•Must have worked in a small company prior to applying for this position.
•Must be computer literate and capable of emailing/calling by telephone, clients and vendors.
•Must have three years of ERP and/or computerized data entry experience.
•High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
•Three years or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, quality manuals, and procedure manuals.
•Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
•Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
•Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
