Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Manager to oversee our service department and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in vehicle maintenance and repair, along with exceptional leadership and customer service skills. As a Service Manager, you will be responsible for managing service operations, guiding technicians, and fostering a positive environment for both employees and customers.
Duties
•Oversee daily operations of the service department to ensure efficiency and productivity.
•Manage a team of service technicians, providing guidance and support as needed.
•Ensure all service work is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
•Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to service or repairs.
•Maintain accurate records of all services performed, including oil changes, diesel engine repairs, and other maintenance tasks.
•Collaborate with sales teams to promote service offerings and drive business growth.
•Monitor inventory levels for parts and supplies needed for vehicle maintenance and repairs.
•Train new staff on service writing procedures, equipment usage, and customer service standards.
Skills
•Proficient in vehicle maintenance practices, including oil changes, shocks struts replacement, air brake systems, and diesel engine repair.
•Strong experience in service writing to document repairs and communicate effectively with customers.
•Ability to transmit technical information clearly to both technicians and customers.
•Proven sales skills to promote services effectively within the department.
•Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building long-term relationships with clients.
•Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
