Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in Orlando, Florida, is seeking a Service Manager LATAM.

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for the overall technical planning and execution of maintenance events for Long Term Service Agreements (LTSA) in Latin America (LATAM). Responsible for ensuring contractual requirements are met while successfully executing inspections on/under budget. The LATAM Service Manager position requires the ability to clearly communicate both internally and with customers. The LATAM Service Manager must have the capability to make sound recommendations regarding safety, quality, reliability and integrity of the products and services provided.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Accountable and Responsible for the technical planning and execution of assigned LTSA projects in LATAM.
Lead technical pre-outage planning efforts in accordance with the LTSA Planning guidelines for all LTSA/Transactional contracted or potential scopes.
Lead the coordination of internal resources required to successfully conduct an LTSA scheduled/unscheduled maintenance event in LATAM.
Collaborate with Supply Chain to contract local and international suppliers required to execute an inspection based on the projects Division of Responsibility (DOR).
Manage satellite Tool Kit – replenishment, calibration, and certification.
Coordination of consumable, contingency, and planned parts to support outages at the customer’s plant site.
Coordinate and manage visa process for Service Execution personnel in LATAM.
Provides direction, leadership and guidance during the execution of an LTSA planned/unplanned event to the assigned Service Execution team in areas including but not limited to EHS, quality, procedures, productivity, cost, schedule and resource utilization.
Accountable for the overall performance, budget, quality, and schedule of the assigned projects
Perform post outage reviews to identify best practices, identify opportunities for improvement, and provides feedback to all relevant departments.
Coordinate with engineering and service technical leads for the resolution of technical issues.
Collaborate with Supply Chain to identify, approve and set up local suppliers and labor subcontractors in LATAM.
Supports in the development of new processes / improve current processes within LATAM.
Provide project management for contractual endeavors requiring Open, Inspection, Repair, and Close activities. Adhere to best practices regarding safety, FME and outage execution.
Support customer relationships to foster a collaborative approach to service event planning and execution.
Collaborate with customers to maximize capable scope contracted with Mitsubishi Power
Understanding of contractual requirements and deliverables
Travel up to 40% to customer plant sites for the purpose of planning outage.
Coordinate all aspects of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
Perform other such duties as may be required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EDUCATION

Education and/or Experience:Bachelor's degree (BSME, BSEE) from four-year College or university; and/or a minimum of 7 years directly related work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement. A minimum of 3 years project management experience is required.
Field experience at Powerplant required.
Knowledge of gas turbine engineering including overall turbine configuration, gas turbine design, manufacturing, boundary conditions, temperatures, and materials. General knowledge of Steam Turbine and Generators
Language Skills:Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Bilingual Spanish/English required and Portuguese/English preferred.
Mathematical Skills:Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills: Basic personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, and basic database.
