Service Electrician

Description

Torgeson Electric Company is currently seeking a skilled Journeyman Service Electrician. Service electricians work under the Service Department Manager with the assistance of the Service Department Administrator to complete the assigned work orders and projects.

Scope of Work

Service journeyman electricians should have knowledge in the National Electric Code and can install (troubleshoot) electrical components with minimal supervision and in a timely manner. Some traveling required in northeast Kansas.

Based on Experience.

40 hours (on average)

Transportation

The Service Electrician will be issued a service van.

Req. Experience

4+ yearsJourneyman electrical license

Paid time off, Paid holidays, 401K option with employer match, ESOP, and Health/Dental insurance. Applicant must be able to pass a pre-employment, (fit to work physical) and drug testing. In addition, must have applicable hand tools as large items will be provided.

Other Reqs

- OSHA 10 (prefer OSHA 30) required (reimbursement available upon completion)

DutiesTasks

Complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision

On time on a regular basis and prepared for work

Installation of all aspects of electrical systems

Basic trouble shooting and diagnostic of electrical systems

Ability to work at heights/ bucket truck

Well organized including paperwork, tools, material, etc.

Ability to interpret plans

Participate in On Call rotations (weekends and holidays)

Capable of working in secured areas with extensive background checks

Good customer reviews and relations

Good communication and documentation skills

Fill out daily pre-job safety plan for the work that will be performed
