We are looking to hire and train a motivated, reliable and punctual route driver to serve the Umatilla County area. Applicant will be in charge of a route and is responsible for servicing septic tanks and deliver Potable water. Applicant must have a valid driver's license and MUST have a minimum of a Class B CDL, as well as be able to dig and do manual labor. This is a fast paced job that changes daily and can be a bit exciting during the summer months. We a great team that is superior in their field. This job has plenty of overtime if you want it. Description

Position Summary

This position is responsible for residential and commercial pumping and disposal of non-hazardous waste and has direct contact with Spot On Septic customers. Responsibilities include operating a company service truck and driving to various locations to pump septic tanks or deliver potable water.

Key Position Points:

- Position: Pump Technician

- Location: Stanfield or Hermiston

- Requirements: CDL A or B License with Tanker Endorsement

- Shift: Day

- Starting Times: 7AM

- After hours Emergency calls and some "on call".

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Follow safety rules and exercise safe work practices in accordance with DEQ and DOT requirements.

- Prepare for each service job to maximize efficiency (get truck ready, tools, etc.) by following daily pre-trip and post-trip maintenance (check fluids, tires, supplies)

- Perform customer service interaction when on work site to ensure customer satisfaction

- Observe and note defective septic component systems, adverse buildup or hazards on the work order and provide any recommend maintenance or service to customer

- Completion and submission of quote and service paperwork to management in a timely manner, if required

- Respond to trouble/emergency calls in a timely manner

- Discuss and recommend adequate maintenance service frequency with the customer

- Follow all Spot On Septic service protocols Other duties as assigned by management

- You are regularly exposed outside weather conditions and non-hazardous fumes

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Ability to read and interpret documents including Company policies and procedures, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, maps and road signs.

- Ability to speak, cooperate and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers and management.

- Ability to work independently and manage pressure to meet deadlines.

- Basic computer literacy including email and internet skills.

- Ability to perform basic math functions.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

- Must hold a Class A or B CDL with ability and willingness to obtain a tanker endorsement if requested

- At least 21 years of age

- At least one year of professional commercial driving experience (post-school)

- Ability to successfully pass DOT drug screen, medical certification, physical exam and road exams

- Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace

- Must be able to meet physical demands, like lifting 50-150 lbs repeatably.

- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

- High-School Diploma
