Job description
We are a local plumbing company seeking a reliable and experienced Septic Pump Truck Driver to join our team. As a Septic Pump Truck Driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring the proper functioning of our customers' septic systems by safely and efficiently pumping out the waste from their tanks.
Responsibilities:
•Operate a septic pump truck, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols
•Safely maneuver the truck in various conditions, including residential and commercial properties, tight spaces, and uneven terrain
•Communicate with customers to understand their needs and concerns, and provide exceptional customer service
•Use hand and power tools to access and inspect septic tanks, locate openings, and ensure proper function
•Inspect and maintain the truck and all equipment, reporting any issues to management
•Complete all necessary paperwork, including logbooks and service tickets, accurately and on time
•Maintain a clean and organized work environment
•Participate in training and development programs, as needed
Requirements:
•Valid Class A or B commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement
•High school diploma or equivalent
•At least 2 years of experience in driving a septic pump truck or similar vehicle (preferred but not required)
•Excellent driving record and safety record
•Ability to lift heavy equipment and tools, up to 50 pounds
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team
•Strong communication and customer service skills
•Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
•Basic computer skills, including familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs)
