Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator and/or Welder to join our dynamic team. This role involves the fabrication and assembly of metal components, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the production process. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of fabrication and welding techniques and be proficient in reading blueprints to execute projects effectively.
Duties
•Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to specifications (CWB, ASME, API 650).
•Utilize hand tools and welding equipment to perform tasks efficiently.
•Read and interpret blueprints to determine project requirements and specifications.
•Operate forklifts and rigging equipment safely to move materials as needed.
•Conduct quality checks using tape measures and other measuring tools to ensure precision in work.
•Construct plate fabrications and other metal assemblies, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
•Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
Skills
•Proficient in fabrication techniques, including welding (MIG, TIG, or stick).
•Strong ability to assemble various metal components accurately.
•Experience with hand tools such as grinders, saws, and drills.
•Familiarity with forklift operation and rigging practices.
•Competent in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
•Knowledge of custom fabrication processes is a plus.
•Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
•Interprovincial Red Seal Certification (or equivalent)
