The Talent Management Senior Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating talent management solutions and programs designed to drive a high performing culture, improve performance, build capability and achieve long-term success.
The incumbent will partner with HR leadership and business leaders to identify business needs and craft talent solutions in the areas of learning and development, performance management, talent review/succession planning, individual and team development, career planning, diversity and inclusion and assessment tools.
- Independently plan and execute assigned tasks that support routine activities and project goals such as
- Oversee and administer the performance management process including talent talks, calibrations, and midyear/annual reviews
- Assess, recommend, create, and implement leadership development programs including individual development plans, assessments, and supporting pillars of learning
- Conduct skill gap analysis and learning needs assessments through stakeholder interviews
- Coaching – New Leader Assimilations, Team Building, and IDPs
- Oversee change management initiatives, ensure that development programs align with organizational goals/strategies, and report out, as necessary.
- Facilitation – all internal SJI facilitated trainings and HR Huddles
- Help select appropriate methods and techniques in performing tasks
- Collaborate with supervisory personnel to develop routine methods and demonstrate good level of understanding project goals and methods
- Recommend alternatives, identify new methods and techniques and proactively seek out senior personnel to discuss potential solutions to problems
- Participate in group meetings. Presenting results of work, interpreting data, and drawing conclusions regarding presented material and nature of work
- This role will be a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization.
- This role will resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways.
- This role is the fully qualified, career-oriented, journey-level position.
- You will work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
- It is expected that you will demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- You will network with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
- It is expected that your role is proficient in most types of works within the group/project team and may act as a technical resource for less experienced employees.
- It is expected that you may present results in team meetings.
- You will receive little instruction on day-to-day work and receive general instructions on new assignments.
- Not having supervisory responsibilities but providing informal guidance to new team members
- Beginning to establish recognition with lower-level Associates/ Specialists as a technical resource and may act as a mentor to junior staff
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience, or;
- Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
- Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
