The Senior Systems Architect is responsible for leading enterprise-level technology integration, automation initiatives, and strategic program delivery across the organization. This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic project management to design and implement scalable, secure, and innovative solutions that align with business objectives. The Senior Systems Architect will oversee system architecture, integration strategies, automation frameworks, and innovation efforts, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution.
- Architect, design, and implement complex integration and automation solutions across enterprise systems
- Lead automation initiatives to streamline business processes and enhance operational efficiency
- Drive strategic projects and programs, ensuring alignment with both business objectives and technology strategies
- Analyze, design, develop, and test technical solutions that meet requirements while staying within scope and budget
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration and software issues across multiple platforms
- Establish and manage program controls, processes, and reporting standards for enterprise-wide initiatives
- Identify and manage risks, issues, and interdependencies across projects and programs
- Provide leadership and coaching in project management best practices, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall
- Mentor team members on application design, development practices, automation strategies, and project execution
- Manage and optimize IT system environments, deployments, and automations
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment of deliverables and business objectives
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and employee ownership
- Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws; follow company policies and procedures
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings
- Position may require some outside travel
- During emergencies or natural disasters may be required to be on duty for the duration of the disaster
- Expertise with integration technologies (APIs, SQL, SFTP, JSON, Web Services)
- Experience with automation tools, scheduling packages, and managed file transfer (MFT) solutions (JSCAPE, Oracle, IBM Sterling, etc.)
- Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to influence and lead without direct authority
- Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall project methodologies; proficient with JIRA and Office 365 suite
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and a proactive approach to risk management and innovation
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development, staying current with emerging technologies
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience
- 10+ years of progressive experience in IT architecture, systems integration, automation, or enterprise-level program management- Demonstrated success of leading large, complex technology initiatives and cross-functional teams
- Experience with automation frameworks, integration tools, and enterprise-level architecture
- Strong background in project and program management, budgeting, and resource allocation
