Who are you?
A highly motivated Senior Surface Land Administrator looking to join our dynamic Land team with a focus on the coordination of day-to-day surface land activity to support the acquisition and management of “cradle-to-grave” surface land assets within a specified area. The successful candidate will be responsible to process timely and cost effective, regulatory compliant surface land packages associated with capital projects and management of existing asset base. Being comfortable working on multi-disciplinary teams in accounting, facility and development, and drilling is critical in order to foster an upbeat and driven work environment.
What will you do?
- Broker package auditing, file set up & data input
- Work closely with agents and landowners and internal asset team
- Maintain accurate records, within the physical file and land databases for your assigned area
- Ensure all surface supporting documentation is timely and accurately processed
- Regulatory compliance assurance for licensing and permitting of land based projects
- Update surface files and filing of all internal & external notices for your assigned area
- Responsible for internal & external requests for information including road use and third party
- Communicate with landowners, field staff, internal departments and 3rd party consultants/brokers
- Reconcile surface rentals and invoice disputes from CS Explorer
- Timely coding of surface related invoices within accounting database
- Minimum 8 to 10 years work experience in surface land administration and coordination
- Proficient in land computer systems such as CS Explorer and AER OneStop
- Widespread knowledge and experience with D-56
- Extensive knowledge of regulations affecting surface land in AB
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Thorough Crown land applications experience
- Demonstrates initiative, innovation, teamwork and attention to detail
- Effective follow-up and time management skills
- Land Administration Certificate or Land Diploma (or equivalent combination of education and work experience)
- An independent, self-starter with a strong ability to take initiative
- Organized and able to meet strict deadlines
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
