SENIOR SUPPLY CHAIN SPECIALIST – CALGARY (CAT)
The Senior Supply Chain Specialist will oversee the planning of goods and materials consumed by the company with a specific focus on raw materials.
Responsibilities:
•Ensure that Trican's core value, "Safe equipment and operations" is the priority in all activities
•Ensure required raw materials are available, tracked, and expedited through approved vendors and work with bulk plants, operations, and stakeholders to achieve this
•Provide support for all supply chain processes, reporting tools, procurement procedures, and item master data management activities
•Collaborate with Supply Chain team members to support requirements during sourcing and procurement initiatives
•Maintain costing, forecasting, and statistical spreadsheets daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually
•Establish an efficient and effective flow of order information from purchase order through to invoice payment
•Drive operational performance with particular focus on quality, service, and cost
•Exhibit a consistent awareness of budget and the ramifications of exceeding it
•Regularly track expenses against budget projections to determine adjustments to expenditures
•Administer contracts for the supply of raw materials
•Demonstrate that external and internal customers are a high priority
•Identify customer needs and expectations, and respond to them in a timely and effective manner
•Inform customers regarding the status of pending actions and inquiries
•Other duties as required
Experience & Skills:
•Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management
•Minimum 5 years experience in a Supply Chain role
•Experience in oil and gas is preferred
•Proficient with Microsoft Office desktop applications, Microsoft Navision, and Oracle
•Excellent interpersonal skills conveyed in a pleasant and professional manner when interacting with employees, management, and customers
•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
•Skilled in problem-solving techniques
•SCMP designation, or working towards designation would be an asset
