Senior/Staff Engineer, Measurement Services (Volume Accounting) will provide support for measurement activities, with focus on processing and reporting gas measurement data; identifying measurement trends and anomalies, quantifying measurement error, making or requesting adjustments, to report complete and accurate gas volumes and energy within Cheniere’s gas measurement application system. This position requires frequent and effective verbal and written communication contact and interfaces with SCADA and IT, our customer measurement analysts and their support teams, field measurement technicians, pipeline engineers, area supervisors, LAUF teams, plus with commercial, accounting, environmental, internal controls, and audit groups, to ensure and support the accuracy of reported gas volumes monthly. This position has daily and monthly analyst responsibilities, analysis of pipeline system LAUF (lost and unaccounted for), the official gas measurement monthly Close, and associated reporting. This position requires a strong analytical skill set to identify problems and make volume corrections, good organization skills, a desire to work independently and be a self-starter who can reach out for help, when needed, can assist in special projects.
- Monitor pipeline lost and unaccounted for gas balances and work with measurement team and field personnel to ensure accurate measurement.
- Responsible for the imports of EFM measurement data
- Can use good judgment to analyze and identify volume and gas quality discrepancies
- Perform daily tasks associated with the verification and processing of gas volumes
- Will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, interpreting, and correcting hourly measurement data on a real-time basis .
- Work with third parties to resolve measurement discrepancies
- Develop data reports/queries for each pipeline, identifying LAUF (lost and unaccounted for) trend changes
- Utilize data analytics tools to perform trend analysis and volume comparisons
- Generate reports to comply with data requests, external inquiries, and audit inquiries
- Provide timely responses to all measurement related inquiries.
- Work with 3 rd Party counterparts specific to suspect measurement problems with their data, quantify error, and request that volume corrections be made in a timely manner.
- Share suspect measurement concerns with internal and external field technicians and measurement engineers so problem(s) can be resolved.
- Notify management of potential issues affecting accurate measurement reporting, or with issues getting problems resolved in a timely manner.
- Will be responsible to calculate and report all gas losses in PGAS
- Will be responsible to build out and configure new meter stations facilities and new pipeline pack sections in PGAS prior to gas flow and incorporate into the physical balance.
- Will update written documentation of department procedures, PGAS processes, etc.
- Will actively test and document each PGAS (or similar) measurement system application patch or version upgrade released, DR testing, MO testing, through Production Go Live.
- Ensure that all documentation associated with routine custody and check meter inspection/calibrations reports were submitted, complete and correct.
- Initiate pre-Close reviews with internal customers.
- Actively participate in the Measurement Close of the production month for all meters on each pipeline on or before the 5 th business day of the month.
- Support data requests from Environmental, Internal Controls, Internal/External Auditors, Accounting, and all internal/external customers in a timely manner.

- Understand gas measurement fundamentals, standards, policies, procedures, and common practices
- Be familiar with analyst practices and procedures, and have used gas measurement applications such as PGAS, FlowCal, etc.
Have a strong analytical and problem-solving skill set to evaluate custody, check, and customer volume data for trends and anomalies, to help identify issues impacting measurement accuracy
- Be able to understand pipeline system flows affecting Lost and Unaccounted for (LAUF) Gas calculations.
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills with all internal/external customers.
- Work well with people, and to provide good customer service, in a timely manner.
- Must be respectful, accountable, ethical self-starter with demonstrated ability to adhere to company policies and training
- Software skills: Microsoft office intermediate use of Microsoft office suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel (Pivot tables, and ability to generate and interpret/analyze graphical trends, and correlations).
Prefer experience with PGAS, FlowCal, measurement software .Education, Training and Certifications : Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline required
Senior Engineer, Measurement Services: Requires five (5+) or more years of relevant combination of natural gas measurement/industry and pipeline operations experience
