Position Summary
The Senior Security Agent plays a critical role in safeguarding Eversource’s personnel, assets, and infrastructure. This position requires a seasoned professional with strong investigative skills, technical expertise in security systems, and the ability to educate and guide others in security best practices. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership, strategic thinking, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a dynamic corporate environment.
Essential Functions
- Conducts investigations into security violations and criminal activity across Eversource facilities.
- Coordinates with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies and internal security teams.
- Maintains accurate records and databases related to security incidents and investigations.
- Monitors compliance with applicable security regulations, requirements, and internal policies.
- Supports and analyzes performance of CCTV, access control, and other electronic security systems.
- Conducts regular reviews of security policies, procedures, and practices; recommends and implements improvements.
- Leads and participates in audits of physical security systems.
- Develops and delivers security-related training programs to Eversource personnel, promoting awareness and compliance.
- Serves as a subject matter expert and mentor to team members, offering guidance in complex or challenging situations.
- Builds and maintains relationships with external security organizations, community leaders, and government agencies, leveraging common goals to further the mission of Eversource.
- Collaborates on cross-functional projects and contributes to shared security initiatives.
- Identifies emerging security risks and communicates them to leadership.
- Provides exceptional customer service and crisis management support to internal stakeholders.
- Stays current with industry trends, technologies, and legislation affecting corporate security.
- Recommends enhancements to physical security infrastructure and electronic systems.
- Demonstrates ownership of responsibilities and seeks opportunities to add value to the organization.
Required:
- Strong understanding of law enforcement procedures and criminal statutes.
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in Windows OS and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to train and educate personnel on security protocols and technologies.
- Experience with advanced security technologies including access control systems, CCTV, video analytics, and intrusion detection systems.
- Familiarity with large-scale electronic security systems and software platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects and adapt to evolving security needs.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and foster a collaborative work environment.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in corporate security, law enforcement, or a related field.
- Valid motor vehicle driver’s license required.
- Professional certifications such as CPP (Certified Protection Professional) or PSP (Physical Security Professional) are desirable.
- Must be available for emergency restoration assignments as needed.
- Travel required across MA, CT, and NH.

The annual salary range for this position is:
$107,820.00-$119,800.00
