Position Summary: This position consists of, but not limited to, being responsible for sales of cement and aggregate primarily in the DFW bid market, including TXDOT, commercial and private residential.. They will establish and maintain relationships with current and prospective customers as well as assist customers in understanding, selection, and use of materials. Effectively administer customer quotations and order entry, sales reports, backlogs, collection of accounts receivable, and overall customer experience. Work closely with sales audit personnel regarding invoicing, credit and re-bills and month end reporting. Work closely with distribution channels and the customers to ensure product availability. The Sales Representative will work with other Sales Representatives and the Sales Manager to ensure maximum market penetration at best possible price. Additionally, the Sales Representative will work on market development strategies.
This position will be based in the Dallas, Texas area.
Preferred Requirements:* Associates or Bachelor’s degree in business, construction management or related discipline preferred.
Core Competencies, Critical Success Factors & Job-Related Characteristics:* Industry Knowledge – basic knowledge of how customer uses our products(i.e. pavement bases, concrete plants, asphalt plants, etc.) and basic knowledge of aggregate plant processing, quality control, products, and dispatch functions
Working Conditions
An office environment, off-site visits with customers, and visiting jobsites. Position may require various periods of work in all weather conditions: heat, cold, wet, or dry. On occasions, there may be exposure to dust, sand, gravel, diesel exhaust, etc. Position may require working early mornings or late afternoons, traveling for training or entertainment, and Saturdays as needed.
