American Track is seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in engineering and a proven track record of successful project completion. As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and managing projects, as well establishing strong relationships and partnerships with clients, vendors, and team members.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
•Lead and manage engineering projects from conception to completion
•Develop, review and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
•Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation, including plans, permits, and reports
•Provide strategic support for the day-to-day operations of projects. Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing activities.
•Conduct research and development to improve engineering processes and techniques
•Negotiate contracts, ensure compliance with terms, and evaluate performance
•Oversee relationships and resolve conflicts among owners, contractors, and other parties within scope of authority.
•Stay abreast and ensure compliance of local, state, and federal regulations related to construction and facility/site operations
•Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards
•Foster a collaborative and goal-oriented work environment
•May hire, train, and oversee subordinate staff in the department.
•Performs all other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Education Required:•High School Diploma or GED
•Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Work Experience Required:
•At least five years of design experience required including supervisory experience.
•Knowledge of rail design, maintenance, and constructions, highly preferred.
Skills & Knowledge Required:
•Ability to produce and communicate engineering plans and specifications.
•Good understanding of engineering design and drafting, and the terms and methods used in engineering procedures.
•Ability to cultivate and deepen client relationships and partnerships.
•Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
•Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
•Proficient with computer-aided design (CAD) software.
•Experience and mastery of Civil3D and other Autodesk products is highly preferred.
