Performing quality reviews and internal audits; evaluating data and writing reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
- Monitoring engineering processes and products for adherence to company and regulatory standards and practices; participating in quality
- Analyzing statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of finished
- Recommending modifications to existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality.
- Conducting investigations and analyses which contribute to the development and implementation of methods, procedures, and equipment
that ensure quality standards for parts and prime products.
- Participating in and offering technical support to internal and external audits; following up on response of corrective action from audit.
- Interacting with manufacturing team members to determine root cause of quality issues and ensuring that corrective and preventive action is
Degree Requirement:
Degree or equivalent experience desired
Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Knowledge of the concepts, principles and techniques of root cause analysis (RCA); ability to use a structured approach to identify the causes of undesirable consequences in a manufacturing environment and the changes needed to prevent recurrences.
Level Expert:
- Leads the implementation of structured approaches to investigate a vast range of problem types, determine causes, and find resolutions.
- Mentors others in determining which situations are candidates for root cause analysis.
- Facilitates choosing one of multiple approaches to resolution; helps weigh relative resource expenditures.
- Consults on figuring out the root cause to a complex problem or situation.
- Oversees situations where the removal of the cause entails more resource expenditure than dealing with the symptom.
- Creates and fosters an RCA-friendly culture and environment; helps instill a "non-punitory" policy towards problem identifiers.
Quality Management: Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques and ability to create and support an environment
that meets the quality goals of the organization.
