The role of Senior Quality Engineer is to provide expertise and advice concerning operational business process compliance, quality audits, continuous improvement, NCRs, documentation, risk management. The job holder is independently engaging with others, technically and operationally curious, competently organized, motivated through optimization and improvements, communicates results and feedback to all levels of the organization as required
- Drives and ensures progress on process improvements and root cause analysis of issues and run failures that impact main operational performance and associated KPI's.
- Reports findings, proposes solutions and works with different departments to implement required changes while using appropriate quality improvement methodologies.
- Identifies and escalates operational risks for the company. Works with stakeholders to understand problems, derive an action plan, and manage and mitigate remaining risks
- Performs process, field, and shop floor audits and surveillance on internal processes. Support with external audits as required
- Executes continual reviews and improvements of quality control processes in the workshop. Establishes and advances best practices.
- Engages with different departments to resolve customer concerns and provides necessary guidance. Understands customer needs and requirements and create action plans.
- Participates in customer, management and quality team meetings
- A degree or diploma in electronical/mechanical engineering is required
- Experience with quality standard and tools and root cause analysis methods is strongly preferred.
- Internal auditing qualification (ISO 9001) is required.
- Must be proficient in spoken and written English.
• Minimum of 5 years in a similar role, ideally in the oil and gas sector.
• Previous experience in conducting quality audits is required.
• Experience working in the pipeline inspection service industry is preferred.
• Strong administrative and computer skills are required.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and VISIO).
